Teaching description
Good knowledge of Italian literature and medieval, modern and contemporary art
The museography aims to support and develop professionalism in the museum field. The aim of the teaching is to provide students with skills in the analysis of historical and contemporary displays in museums and temporary and permanent exhibitions
Knowledge and understanding: knowledge on the Italian exhibition culture analyzed within the European and American context;
Applying knowledge and understanding: Acquisition of tools useful for orientation in the history of museology and museography
Knowledge and understanding: knowledge and understanding of the role and functions that are attributed today to Italian and international museums and places of culture, of conservation services, management, communication, use and enhancement of the collections and museum education actions.
Applying knowledge and understanding: ability to critically use the history and structure of the museum, collection materials, museum organization and architectural-exhibition structures in Italy with an international expansion.
Making judgements: ability to carry out analyzes and comparisons on the data collected, formulating reasoning of a more general nature within the historical-cultural and social context relating to the topics examined
Communication skills: ability to use the specific vocabulary of the disciplinary field

Museography studies museums and the practicalities and interpretation of museum work. Its scope also encompasses the teaching organised by museums, ethics and project management, as well as theories concerning the museum as an institution and its operations.
