The Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, delivered in English, aims to deepen the various fields of application of Computer Engineering. It provides a solid scientific and technical basis, with in-depth studies in line with the need for innovation in the field of Computer Engineering. The program is aimed at training specialized professionals, able to design, develop, analyze and integrate heterogeneous computing systems. These objectives are pursued by providing an accurate preparation in different fields: computer networks; software applications and information systems; high performance computing; decision support systems; computer vision and automation. Students are provided with knowledge and skills allowing them to identify, formulate, analyze, and solve problems related to the development of highly complex systems, processes and services in the specific field of computer engineering as well as in many other other different contexts in which information technologies play an important role.
The degree is awarded after passing the final exam, which requires the student to present his/her thesis to the members of the Degree Committee, with the aim of verifying the maturity acquired and the graduate's ability to present the arguments. The final exam must be an important individual training opportunity to complete the curriculum. Therefore, a discussion of the proposed thesis is compulsory.
