Course description
Access is not restricted. Quota reserved to non-EU students residing outside Italy: 20 seats (see https://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/). The admission requires to pass an oral exam with a Committee composed of 3 Professors, aimed at evaluating the basic business and economic-law knowledge, as well as at assessing the motivational aspects (see https://www.economia.unisalento.it/704).
Admission to this Master's Degree course requires a Bachelor’s Degree in economy, socio-political sciences and cultural heritage, communication sciences. Admission is possible also for the Bachelor’s degree graduates with 30 credits in the following areas of interest: economy, business and law.

The course provides students with the opportunity to develop highly qualified professional profiles, with skills in various activities concerning the enhancement and management of the territory. More in detail, the course allows the acquisition of specific economic-law and social knowledge, concerning culture, environment and tourism, in order to be able to manage tourism institutions. The employment opportunities refer to positions in companies, organizations and associations operating in tourism and culture sectors.

The course is based on a two-year mono-curricular degree programme, which provides the necessary knowledge and expertise for the development of professional profiles, capable of working in companies of the tourism and cultural sector, as well as holding positions of responsibility in Public Administration. The first year includes business, law and language courses. The second year focuses on courses belonging to business, historical-economic and economic-geographical areas. Language learning is encouraged to facilitate intra- and extra-European student mobility. The degree programme is enriched by internships, incoming and outgoing students exchanges and other actions that aim at enhancing the skills acquired, through an important connection with the evolution of the tourism sector both at national and international level.
The final exam consists of a written dissertation/thesis, assigned in one of the subjects studied by the candidate during the degree course. In particular, the dissertation is focused on: • the analysis of the literature related to a specific topic/research and a discussion of a case study; • an internship experience, followed by a detailed report on the results achieved and/or a focus on the problems faced during the internship, or a description of the courses attended during mobility periods abroad. The candidate must demonstrate to have acquired knowledge and skills required by the course aims. The final assessment takes into account the student's career, including the marks obtained in the exams, the mobility period abroad, as well as the performance shown during the dissertation.
