Teaching description
Basic knowledge of the Italian language. Basic knowledge for research and study through digital applications
During the course, attention will focus on the importance of the new linguistic technologies for the Italian language that guarantee easy use of resources ranging from lexical databases to digital vocabularies, to corpora of written texts. The different fields of application of the resources on the Web will be analysed, studied and tested and the implications in a context of linguistic-cultural promotion and research will be assessed.
- Knowledge and understanding at the end of the course, students will be able to use language technologies for study, research on Italian and its promotion.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding students will be able to manage and evaluate digital applications of Italian.
- Making judgments: students will have to acquire the tools and techniques for the management and use of digital content of Italian to achieve competence and evaluation skills.
- Communication skills: students will be able to transfer digital applications of Italian to new content and new contexts.
- Learning skills: the student will develop skills that will enable him/her to reuse the knowledge acquired in other courses of study.

The oral exam is designed to assess:
● the level of knowledge;
● the ability to apply acquired knowledge;
● the ability to exercise independent judgment;
● communication skills.
In the assessment of the examination, the determination of the final grade considers the following elements:
30 e lode: excellent performance; comprehensive and in-depth preparation; full ability to apply knowledge in new situations. Excellent independent judgment; clear presentation, with accurate use of the Italian language and confident knowledge of the topics and specialized terminology.
30: excellent performance; comprehensive preparation and ability to apply acquired knowledge. Adequate independent judgment. Excellent command of the Italian language and clarity of presentation.
29–28: Very good grade; comprehensive preparation; good ability to apply acquired knowledge in other contexts. Adequate independent judgment. Some uncertainty in Italian language expression, with presentation not entirely clear due to certain terminological inaccuracies.
27–26: Good grade; comprehensive preparation; ability to adapt knowledge only in certain situations. Independent judgment not fully developed. Reasonably confident ability to present arguments, with some uncertainty or confusion in expression or presentation in Italian.
25–24: Fair grade; preparation is approximately complete, with occasional inaccuracies and/or gaps. Limited independence of judgment. Ability to apply knowledge only in simple situations. In the presentation in Italian, occasional terminological or conceptual confusion.
23–22: More than satisfactory; nearly complete preparation. Ability to apply acquired knowledge only in guided situations; partial autonomy of judgment. Gaps and/or inaccuracies in the presentation in Italian, with terminological or conceptual confusion.
21–20: sufficient grade; preparation is approximately complete, with inaccuracies. Ability to apply acquired knowledge only in very simple situations. Limited autonomy of judgment. Presentation of content is approximate, with uncertainties in the use of Italian in general.
19–18: barely sufficient grade; limited preparation (many inaccuracies and various gaps in content). Ability to apply acquired knowledge only in elementary situations. Limited independent judgment. Presentation in Italian is halting and imprecise.
< 18: Insufficient grade; insufficient preparation. Inability to apply the limited knowledge acquired. No independent judgment. Inadequate presentation, also due to difficulty expressing oneself in Italian.
Students can book for the final exam exclusively using the methods provided by the VOL system.
