Basic knowledge of hydraulics, maritime and coastal engineering, and mathematical modeling. 

The course examines the impact of climate change on hydraulic and coastal systems, focusing on extreme events such as floods, droughts, and sea-level rise. It covers the design of resilient hydraulic infrastructures, emphasizing nature-based solutions for flood and drought management. Interactions between coastal infrastructures and extreme phenomena are analyzed, alongside innovative approaches to mitigate erosion and sea-level rise. The course also integrates spatial planning, hydraulic risk management, and GIS-based spatial analysis with multi-criteria evaluations. Finally, it introduces methods for assessing hydro-meteorological risks and developing effective adaptation strategies.

The course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge for the design, management, and adaptation of hydraulic and coastal infrastructures in the context of climate change. Students will develop skills in assessing hydrogeological and maritime risks, exploring innovative technologies, and implementing adaptation strategies to enhance infrastructure resilience against extreme events.
