Course description

The Bachelor's Degree in Engineering for Sustainable Industry responds to the needs and expectations of the Brindisi area, home to major industrial players in mechanical, energy, materials and aerospace engineering. It trains an engineer with a solid scientific grounding, leaving the choice of specialisation in the various engineering fields to a later stage, in line with current national and local trends, particularly the sustainable development of industrial systems. The programme prioritises giving students a solid basic preparation in science and engineering, in order to acquire both the mental flexibility and the study and working methods needed to:

1) practise as a first-level engineer in the various sectors where their services may be required;

2) readily tackle and deepen the specialised knowledge provided by subsequent Master's degrees.
Admission to the programme requires an upper secondary school qualification or an equivalent one, adequate technical-scientific preparation to be verified through an admission test, and initial knowledge of English.
Students who, on the basis of the test results, do not achieve adequate preparation are assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) in the subjects where gaps emerged, to be cleared during the first year.
