Course description

The Course of Study in Business Economics is part of the educational and scientific tradition of the former Faculty of Economics (now the Department of Economic Sciences), in compliance with the needs of the professions and the business world, with particular reference to the economic-business component. The Course includes the first two common years that provide theoretical and basic knowledge in the business, economic, mathematical-statistical and legal fields and a third year that includes the division into three curricula. The first, called Managerial, includes disciplines aimed at training graduates capable of supporting corporate governance decisions; the second, called Auditing and managerial control, includes disciplines aimed at training professionals for the accounting and management control of companies; the third, called Management for sustainable development, is aimed at training professionals capable of planning and managing territorial resources for the development of sustainable management of organizations. In particular, the Degree Course in Business Economics is designed to train graduates with both theoretical knowledge of analysis and critical interpretation of business structures and dynamics, but also the ability to apply this knowledge to solve business problems in different sectors of economic activity (manufacturing, commercial, services and public administration).
The educational offer of the Degree Course in Business Economics is integrated by a series of other activities (internships, seminars, presentation of business cases, workshops with companies and institutions) aimed at students, who can avail themselves, during their training, of a highly qualified, dynamic teaching staff that is always available for teaching support.
To be admitted to the degree course, you must have a high school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable.
An appropriate study method, appropriate logical-deductive and logical-verbal skills, as well as basic knowledge of English and mathematics are also required. These skills and knowledge will be verified through appropriate entrance tests.

The test will focus on knowledge of logic, English, general culture and mathematics based on the Secondary School programs.

Additional training obligations may be assigned only in the scientific-disciplinary sector SECS-S/06 - Mathematical methods of economics and actuarial and financial sciences, according to the criteria defined in the announcement for access to the Degree Course.
