Course description

The master's degree program in Psychology of Intervention in Relational and Social Contexts is designed to provide the advanced theoretical knowledge, psychosocial methodological competencies, and relational and technical skills necessary for the psychologist to design and implement intervention in the services addressed to individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities in different clinical and social settings (schools, workplaces, institutions, formal and informal social networks), with the aim of fostering social coexistence and promoting quality of life and individual and collective well-being.
(1) Bachelor's degree; (2) not less than 88 CFU in the scientific-disciplinary fields of psychology (M-PSI/01 to M-PSI/08), not less than 8 CFU in each field; (3) 10 CFU of professionalizing educational activities (Interministerial Decree 654/2022). In the absence, in whole or in part, of the recognition of these CFUs, they must be acquired in addition to the 120 CFUs of the master's degree
diagnosis and psychological support in services addressed to individuals and families; training and counseling in schools; promotion of psychological well-being and quality of life in care and treatment settings; promotion of psychosocial integration of immigrant citizens or other fragile social groups in the service of agencies and institutions; management and development of human resources
The final examination for the degree of Master of Science in Psychology LM51 qualifies for the practice of psychology. (Law No. 163 of November 8, 2021). The examination includes the conduct of a practical test evaluating the professional skills acquired through the internship within the course of study and the discussion of a thesis of a theoretical and/or empirical nature

The Master's Degree Course aims to provide methodological models and skills thanks to which the graduate will be able to a) analyze differentiated contexts and demands (from individuals, families, social groups, communities); b) design, from this understanding, the intervention; c) respond to emerging demands related to the evolution of the contemporary social and cultural scenario - always with the perspective of improving the quality of life, in the different spheres of coexistence.
