The course is characterized by its interaction between the humanities and the sciences, with particular emphasis on archaeological contexts and new technologies.
Course topics relate to a territory rich in archaeological remains, a sort of open-air manual of evidence concerning the past.
Knowledge normally acquired through degrees with an historical and archaeological profile is required. Basic knowledge of the legislation on archaeological heritage is also required; sufficient ability to use the main computer tools for the management of archaeological data and their telematic communication; written and oral command of the English language.
This degree forms archaeologists capable of working in the public sector, for the Ministry of Culture (MiC).The degree allows archaeologists to work in the private sector, as freelancers in companies that are specialized in archaeological heritage management and promotion.
It is possible to embark upon a career in teaching and subscribe to postgraduate courses.
The final exam of the Course consists of the discussion of a paper that serves to prove possession of the competences required by the educational objectives of the Course itself. It is aimed at ascertaining that the undergraduate student possesses advanced scientific and methodological knowledge and skills, as well as developed critical capabilities, useful for analysing scientific problems.
