The Civ. Eng. M.Sc. course aims to provide a deep knowledge in two main fields: structural engineering; hydraulic and environmental engineering. The students are free to choose their track in order to strengthen their knowledge in those topics that result more attractive. The first possibility is to study the problems of structural engineering, including the advanced theory of structures; design of steel structures; dynamics of structures; seismic analysis and design; special structures; structural testing and monitoring; strengthening and repair of existing construction, including architectural heritage. The second path is related to the topics of hydraulic engineering and environmental problems: coastal engineering; advanced hydraulic problems including underground waters; design and management of maritime construction; environmental geotechnics; environmental planning and technical codes;
The final exam requires the defense of a final M.Sc. thesis that will cover 9 ETCS.
