Il corso forma una figura professionale in grado di interpretare, descrivere e risolvere in maniera autonoma e innovativa problemi complessi di ingegneria civile o che richiedano un approccio interdisciplinare. Lo studio degli aspetti normativi e legislativi, consente di affiancare la crescita tecnico/culturale con la capacità di assunzione di responsabilità. L'ingegnere Civile opera ai più alti livelli nella libera professione: nelle imprese e nelle aziende del settore, anche a livello europeo, e nella pubblica amministrazione, unendo sinergicamente capacità e conoscenze tecnico-ingegneristiche a capacità organizzative e di coordinamento.

Course description

The course trains a professional figure capable of autonomously and innovatively interpreting, describing and solving complex civil engineering problems or those requiring an interdisciplinary approach. The study of regulatory and legislative aspects, allows technical/cultural growth to be combined with the ability to assume responsibility. The civil engineer operates at the highest levels in the free profession: in enterprises and companies in the sector, including at the European level, and in public administration, synergistically combining technical/engineering skills and knowledge with organizational and coordination abilities.
Studies in the fields of structural civil engineering, building technologies, infrastructures, hydraulic and marine engineering form the main disciplines.
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering - Other engineering degrees require credit recovery and integration depending on the curriculum
Graduates can work in the field of freelancing; employment in public administration (technical offices, agencies, etc.) and public-private consortia; Construction and civil engineering companies in general; Research and Development.
Successful completion of the bachelor's degree makes it possible to register for the National exam and to qualify as a full Professional Engineer.
The final examination consists of a thesis work done by the student on a topic that is part of the curriculum. The manuscript, produced under the guidance of an advisor , may be compilative or the result of original research, carried out even abroad. The final evaluation is conducted by a graduate committee at the end of the public dissertation ceremony.
