Course description
The Degree Course in Motor and Sports Sciences (cl. L-22 R) is aimed at those who wish to deepen their skills in the field of physical activity and sport in general. It offers an educational offer aimed at preparing professional operators capable of planning, conducting and evaluating physical activities in different formal and non-formal training contexts and athletic preparation plans at a competitive level. Particular attention is paid above all to those disciplines that allow the maintenance of psycho-physical well-being and the prevention of disorders deriving from sedentary lifestyles.
To this end, the course provides the acquisition of anatomical, biochemical, biomechanical and physiological knowledge essential for understanding the biological bases of movement and adaptations to physical exercise.
Furthermore, the training path includes learning the teaching methodologies regarding motor and sports activities and the methodologies suitable for measuring and evaluating the effects of physical exercise with particular reference to the biomechanical aspects of movement, aimed at implementing programs for the recovery of gait defects and postural defects and the use of techniques and tools for the correct performance of motor and sports activities.
The course provides the pedagogical bases for conducting motor and sports activity programs at an individual and group level in order to interact with subjects of all ages, aimed at maintaining and strengthening the psychophysical well-being of the person. The teaching tools used to achieve these objectives will be lectures, seminars and technical-practical activities, with periodic and final learning assessments.
The achievement of these objectives will be possible through basic, characterizing, similar and integrative activities which, starting from the second year of the course, will be integrated with internship activities, which will qualify the student's preparation through paths identified by the degree course in the field of individual and team technical-sports disciplines, educational teaching
and the sector of preventive-adapted motor activities.
The student will also be able to follow external activities at affiliated bodies (Sports Associations and Societies affiliated with sports federations, First and Second Level Schools, State Bodies, etc.) with the guidance of tutors identified by the respective structures who will certify the regularity of the activities.
The graduate in 'Motor Sciences and Sports' will have the skills to carry out professional activities related to motor and sports activities both in public and private structures and in sports and recreational-social organizations, with particular reference to the conduction, management and evaluation of physical activities aimed at the prevention and maintenance of psycho-physical well-being through the promotion of active lifestyles.
