Course description

The Course of Studies in Sustainable Development and Climate Change is characterised by a holistic, transversal and inter- and trans-disciplinary approach aimed at promoting a new culture of sustainability.The Course of Studies is organised with a common two-year period that includes educational contributions from the different cultural areas of learning that are integrated on the themes of sustainable development (mathematical, physical, chemical sciences, the area of earth sciences, the area of economic-ecological sciences and the area of social and human sciences. In the third year, the course is divided into 3 curricula that introduce students to the areas of environmental sciences, economic sciences and social and human sciences.
A five-year High School diploma or other foreign qualification recognised as equivalent is sufficient for admission, without any selective entrance test. Enrolment on the course in any case requires compulsory verification of initial preparation in accordance with the terms and procedures specified in the dedicated form.
The graduates' job opportunities are mainly related to the different curricula offered, thus, to professional outlets as ecologists, environmental management consultants, sociologists experienced in the implementation of policies to comply with the 2030 Agenda goals, in the drafting of environmental, corporate, process or social sustainability plans, in training on sustainable development issues.
The final examination for the Degree in Sustainable development under a changing climate consists of the presentation of a thesis prepared by the student on a topic of environmental interest related to the knowledge acquired through the courses of the study plan, under the guidance of at least one supervisor.
