Course description
Programmed, 250 places available. Quota reserved to non EU-students: residing outside Italy: 15 seats, of which 5 are reserved for Chinese students living in China, under the Marco Polo Project. The admission is permitted after passing a test of knowledge of the Italian language. Further details about the test are available at the following link: https://bbcc.unisalento.it/home_page. The non-EU students with the Italian language certification C1, C2, or level B2 of the Council of Europe certification are exempted from the Italian language test.
Admission to the course requires a high school diploma or other equivalent and approved qualification obtained abroad. Students must possess adequate knowledge of basic culture, skills of reading, understanding, and interpreting texts and documents; good knowledge of written and spoken the Italian Language There are compulsory checks of possession of these requirements. The procedures for checking academic requirements are indicated in the Course Regulations, published on the university website, which establishes the additional learning requirements (OFAs) to be achieved in the first year of the course if the initial requirements are not met.
Lecce
The employment opportunities and professional activities envisaged refer to positions in the areas concerning culture: -design, organization, management of cultural events); -production of cultural contents for written, audiovisual, and web media. -fruition and valorization of music, theater, and cinema cultural heritage. Specifically, graduates will find professional openings: - public and private artistic (music, theater, cinema, and audiovisual institutions; - public and private institutions devoted to production, organization, distribution of artistic events; - public and private radios and televisions; WEB; - museums and archives devoted to music and performing arts; - festivals; cultural associations.

The DAMS degree has an interdisciplinary character and provides a cultural training both at the general (history and culture of the the contemporary world), and at the highly specialized level, particularly in the fields of music, cinema, theater and performing arts. In general, the DAMS degree is conceived as a complete and qualifying training experience, able to connect the student with the most up-to-date theories and practices of music, audiovisuals and performing arts. Such a knowledge and skills will allow the graduate student to manage activities and operate in the cultural system. This degree is addressed to the students interested in the world of music, cinema and audiovisuals, theater and performing arts; in the design, organization, management and promotion of the artistic events; in the production of written, audiovisual, and multimedia contents for the cultural industry.
The final exam consists of a multimedia or written essay, in which the student discusses and develops a subject related to one course included in the program. The languages allowed are Italian and English.
