Course description

The Degree Course in Cultural Heritage (L-1) has a three-year duration and provides a basic training partly common and a differentiated characterisation in three curricula. The distribution over the three years of the course of the teachings related to the Basic, Characterising and Related/Integrative Educational Activities meets the criteria of chronological periodization and thematic homogeneity/affinity among the teachings offered in the same year.
In the three years of the pathway, Other Educational Activities are foreseen, to which CFUs are assigned whose distribution is coherent and functional to that contemplated for the teachings.
The Degree Course aims to provide basic knowledge enabling entry into the world of work in relation to the management, protection and enhancement of Cultural Heritage (archaeological, historical-artistic and landscape) and which can be further developed in the Master's Degree Courses in Archaeology and History of Art.
Basic knowledge is required, such as that which can be acquired by obtaining a High School Diploma (or other qualification obtained abroad and recognised under current legislation).
In relation to the educational objectives of the course, the prerequisite knowledge must relate to those subjects that in the course will be configured as basic subjects (Italian language, history, geography) and characterising subjects (history of art). In addition to these, basic knowledge of scientific subjects (computer science, physics and chemistry) is required. Students must also have a basic knowledge of English of at least A2 level.
This prior knowledge will be checked in advance, in a non-selective manner (e.g. questionnaires or tests). Any deficiencies must be made up within the first year of the course, in accordance with the procedures laid down in the course regulations.
- Sectors of the Public Administration related to Cultural Heritage: Superintendencies, Museums, Libraries, Theatres.
- Cultural associations, private foundations, private museums linked to the world of Cultural Heritage in the broadest sense of the term.
- Tourist promotion organisations.

-Magazines, periodicals, on-line information and cultural dissemination sites.
The final examination consists of a short written paper in Italian or English on a topic relevant to a teaching subject of the course, which the undergraduate student will have agreed upon with the lecturer.
