Course description

The course in Business Administration is embedded in the training and scientific tradition of the Department of Scienze dell’Economia. The course offers the first two years of core modules that provide theoretical and basic knowledge in business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics and legal fields. The third year is divided into three specialization areas. The Management curriculum is concerned with subjects aimed at training graduates in order to be able to support corporate governance of enterprises. The Professional curriculum focuses on specialized subjects related to fields of action typical of business and accounting professions. The Local Development curriculum aims to support administration, in terms of planning and managing of local resources.
Students are required: to have a high school diploma, or another equivalent suitable qualification obtained abroad; to possess an appropriate method of studying, deductive logic and verbal skills, base knowledge in English and mathematics. These skills will be assessed by means of admission tests.
Additional learning requirements (OFA) can be assigned in the scientific sector SEC-S/06.
Students graduated in Business Administration are able to support corporate governance. Companies will be examined in their contexts and areas of business, also at the international level, thanks to the knowledge obtained by studying business administration, economics, law, mathematics, statistics, and English.
Preparation in accountancy and law also permits to work as a freelancer.
The final exam is concerned with writing a thesis dealing with the topic defined with the supervisor. The student has to demonstrate the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences required by the learning objectives of the course.
The final assessment will consider the student career during the whole training experience, the ECTS acquired, exam marks and any mobility period abroad.
