The Master's Degree Program in Planning and Management of Policies and Social Services prepares professionals who are able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and to perform management, management and coordination functions of social services programs and social policies in various sectors such as the field of socio-health integration, services to individuals and families, migration and intercultural relations, social exclusion and marginality, weak subjects and welfare policies.
The assessment for admission to the Master's degree program will take place through an interview on topics related to the analysis and reading of social processes (sociological area), the regulatory frameworks of social work (legal area), the psychological components of the systems relationship (psychological area).
In order to be admitted to the Master's Degree Program in Planning and Management of Social Policies and Services, it is necessary to be in possession of a Bachelor's Degree or University Diploma lasting three years, or another qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable.
Experts in the study, management and control of social phenomena. The specialist social worker can operate in various sectors and entities both public and private, holding managerial roles, coordination, development of planning and evaluation activities. Specifically, graduates will find professional openings: • in the private sector, non-profit organitations, ONG, social company etc. • in public institutions; • freelance work in social services
The final exam for the achievement of the master's degree consists of a public examination concerning the discussion of an original paper, carried out under the guidance of a supervisor. The aim of the final exam is to demonstrate that you have acquired knowledge and skills in the field of social policies and the theoretical-methodological areas connected to them. The following elements contribute to the overall evaluation: the weighted average of the exam marks, the possible presence of training activities abroad, the presence of honors in the exams, the acquisition of the current qualification and the mark obtained in the test the final. The final exam consists in the presentation by the student of a written paper, agreed with a professor (supervisor) related to the disciplinary scientific sector present in the student's curricular path. The final exam aims to evaluate the student's ability to develop a topic among those covered during the studies, and / or to reflect on the internship experience, in the direction of ascertaining the possession of theoretical-practical skills consistent with the specific objectives of the study course.
