The Degree Course in "Social education and techniques of educational intervention" offers a training course aimed at granting the qualification of "Socio-pedagogical professional educator" in particular oriented to interventions on the community in the dual value of operator in social services, in recreational-cultural services and environmental education. Furthermore, it allows you to work in public and private nurseries and in all structures that offer personal services for the 0-3 range. Among the other aspects characterizing its activity are: the organization, implementation and management of educational, social and cultural interventions responding to individual needs; the organization of social places; personal advice; conflict mediation, in all areas where it is possible to foster the encounter between people and groups and to increase their ability to actively participate in social life.
To be admitted to the degree course, it is necessary to have a five-year high school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad recognized as suitable, or a four-year high school diploma and the related supplementary year or, where no longer active, of the educational debt assigned. The number of enrolled students and the procedures for carrying out the selection will be made public each year with the relative competition notice. It is also necessary to have a good level of knowledge relating to the grammatical and syntactic structures of the spoken and written Italian language. Equally good must be the ability to grasp the central meaning of a spoken and written message together with the ability to argue one's own point of view on a known issue; and finally the ability to identify the main differences between different theoretical positions in reference to the same issue.
Admission to the course in "Social education and techniques of educational intervention" requires, as an admission qualification, the possession of a Secondary School Diploma or a foreign qualification for access to university training, duly validated on the basis with current legislation. The admission test of an evaluative nature will verify the possession of the necessary knowledge for access to the degree course.
The employment opportunities of the three-year graduate of the CdL in "Social education and techniques of educational intervention" are: - public and private structures and the third sector (cooperatives) that manage and / or provide educational services also for the 0-3 year age group; - public and private structures and the third sector (cooperatives) that manage and / or provide social services; - structures that provide cultural, recreational, sporting services (youth aggregation centers, libraries, media libraries, playrooms, museums, etc.), environmental education services (parks, eco-museums, environmental agencies, etc.).
The final exam consists in the presentation by the student of a paper, agreed with a teacher (supervisor) belonging to one of the scientific disciplinary sectors present in the student's curricular path. The final exam aims to assess the student's ability to autonomously develop a topic among those covered in the course of studies, and / or to reflect on the internship experience, in order to ascertain the possession of theoretical-practical skills consistent with the educational objectives of the degree program. The following elements contribute to the overall assessment: the weighted average of the exam marks, the presence of training activities abroad, the presence of honors in the exams, the possible conclusion of the three-year training course in progress and the mark achieved in the final exam.
