Teaching description

There are no prerequisites. For the easiest learning of the subject, however, it is desirable to know the fundamental notions of administrative and/or public and/or constitutional law

The course aims to provide the conceptual and methodological knowledge necessary to understand the principles and rules governing the tourism sector, especially in the context of relations with public administrations. The examination of the tourism discipline will be conducted in a multilevel perspective, in the local, regional, national and international.

The course aims to provide knowledge of tourism law, with particular reference to the public and institutional dimension of the tourism system, through the study of its main characteristics and characterizing institutions, conducted directly on both domestic and international legal texts, on the main court cases

Knowledge and understanding: the student will acquire good knowledge and understanding of the institutional part (sources, institutions, subjects of tourism law, their powers/duties/responsibilities).

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student will be able to explain the political-economic reasons that guide the choices of the legislator, the behaviors of the parties involved and the decisions of domestic, community and international jurisprudence.

Making judgements: the student will develop the ability to orient themselves among the numerous sources of regulation of the subject and autonomy of judgement in identifying the solution of practical cases.

Communication skills: the student will acquire an accurate technical legal language that will allow the presentation of the results in a proper and adequate way.

knowledge and understanding: the student will acquire adequate knowledge and skills to be able to access the next levels of training, to be able to participate in public competitions and usefully carry out employment in private companies.

The course will take place through lectures during which the reading, analysis and commentary of legal texts and jurisprudential rulings, including supranational (Court of Justice, ECtHR) are planned. Seminars, conferences with external guests, case studies, classroom debates are also planned. Lectures aimed both at exposing the main topics of the Course and at stimulating legal reasoning and critical reflection on the topics covered

It is advisable to participate actively in the lessons, through the formulation of clarification and in-depth questions.

 

Exams will take place in presence. The exam consists of an oral test lasting that focuses on learning the contents of the course in the light of the indicated learning objectives.

There is also an intermediate test, consisting of multiple-choice written questions which, if passed, entitles the student to a reduction in the program for the purposes of the oral test.
