Course description
The programme trains graduates with a highly interdisciplinary education in the field of Environmental Sciences, able to hold positions of high responsibility in public administration (universities, State and semi-State bodies, local authorities) and in private bodies and companies, through scientific activities (research and design) and applied activities (control and consultancy).
Career outlets include, for the 'Impact Assessment and Environmental Monitoring' track, Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Environmental Certification, as well as the analysis, monitoring and management of environmental resources and systems and of the territory and the assessment of environmental quality; and, for the 'Sustainable Development and Planning' track, the planning and management of environmental resources and systems and of the territory (with the drafting of sustainable spatial plans) and the management of services for the conservation and production of environmental resources and of energy from renewable sources.
The final qualification requires 120 CFU.
a) the possession (at enrolment) of university credits acquired through activities that, in terms of content and breadth, allow a study path in Environmental Sciences to be successfully followed. This condition is already met for candidates holding a degree in class L-32 Sciences and Technologies for the Environment and Nature (Ministerial Decree 270/04), or class 27 (Ministerial Decree 509/99), or a degree in Natural Sciences (systems predating Ministerial Decree 509/99). For candidates with degrees from other programmes, the Regulations set the curricular requirements in terms of adequate skills in areas contributing to Environmental Sciences;
b) the adequacy of the candidate's preparation in relation to the programme's objectives.
