Course description

The Master's Degree Course in 'Pedagogical counseling and planning of educational processes' (Class LM50) lasts two years and aims to complete and perfect the training acquired in the three-year degree course in Class L19. The aim of the course is to train the professional peagogist who is an expert in the consultancy and design of training interventions, including complex ones, both in formal and non-formal and informal contexts. It also aims to provide skills for the management of professional teams engaged in education and training.
For all students, access is conditional on the possession of curricular requirements, as defined in the Study Course Regulations. Irrespective of the curricular requirements, all students are required to undergo a personal preparation test, as defined in the regulations. There are no educational debts, i.e. additional educational obligations, at the time of admission.
Curricular requirements:
Four-year V.O. degree: Education Sciences or Pedagogy
Degree in class L-18, LS-87S as provided for by Ministerial Decree 509/99
Degrees in Classes L-19, LM-85 under Ministerial Decree 270/04
- a good command of a language of the European Union, in addition to Italian.
The field of employment of the figure, of the educationalist, both as an employee and as a freelancer at the different levels (local, regional, national, European and international), spheres (as per art. 1) and corresponding systems of intervention, is articulated in public, private and Third Sector structures, residential or semi-residential, in charge of developing community life activities, both occasional and permanent, with preventive and social inclusion purposes, such as health, social, community, listening, play, sports and leisure centres for families, neighbourhood, cultural, elderly, youth and any other possible space of educational work required by the market. The figure may also find employment in Associations and judicial structures of the penitentiary system; Associations, centres and environmental structures of the environmental and cultural heritage system; Public Authorities, Agencies for work and local development; Territorial Centres for lifelong learning; Counselling Centres; Training Institutions, Companies (small, medium and large, private or public-private) and Consultancy Companies, Training Agencies; Cultural, Social and Leisure, Environmental and Multicultural Associations; Employers' Associations, Trade and Professional Associations, Party Organisations and any other possible educational and training work space required by the market.
The Master's degree in 'Pedagogical counseling and planning of educational processes' is awarded following the passing of a final examination consisting of the presentation and discussion of an original paper produced by the student under the guidance of a supervisor and verified by a co-rapporteur.
It will deal with topics of the scientific debate of the domain of knowledge attributable to the educational sciences and will contain references to the state of the art of the subject matter, with precise bibliographical references and adequate documentation where necessary.
