Course description

The Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering: Electronics, Computer Science and Telecommunications provides an adequate knowledge both of the basic subjects (mathematics and physics) and of Electronics, Computer Engineering and Telecommunications, with basic knowledge of Control Engineering as well.
The programme provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills for working in:
- companies designing, producing and operating ICT systems, hardware and software companies, firms dealing with information systems and computer networks, and IT service providers for public administration;
- electronic, electromechanical, aerospace, chemical and aeronautical companies, for the sizing and construction of architectures, processes and automation plants integrating computing components and measurement, transmission and actuation equipment;
- companies designing, producing and operating equipment, systems and infrastructure for the acquisition and transport of information and for telematic applications; terrestrial and space telecommunications and remote-sensing service providers; regulatory bodies and air, land and sea traffic control authorities;
- companies designing and building electronic equipment and systems for signal acquisition and processing, using the methods and techniques of Engineering.
Admission to the programme requires an upper secondary school qualification or an equivalent one, adequate technical-scientific preparation to be verified through an admission test, and initial knowledge of English.
Students who, on the basis of the test results, do not achieve adequate preparation are assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) in the subjects where gaps emerged, to be cleared during the first year.
