Course description
The Nursing course provides students with innovative teaching methods and a broad spectrum of learning opportunities so that they acquire theoretical knowledge and apply practical skills valuable in the ever-changing healthcare environment. The course aims to train health professionals who will carry out activities in the following fields: prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, palliation and the safeguarding of individual and collective health. Teaching modules are compulsory and include theoretical and professionalizing activities. Clinical placements are integral to the three-year programme and will occur in the teaching Hospitals of NHS. After graduation in Nursing, students can access post-baccalaureate university training.
Students are required to provide an upper secondary school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad deemed suitable.
Each academic year, the MUR issues a decree establishing the admission procedures, including the number of places, and the contents of the notice issued by the university.

Once qualified as a nurse, students could work in healthcare environments in the NHS or private sector, hospital, community settings or public health.
The final examination qualifies students to exercise the profession of nurse. It includes:
1) a practical test whereby students demonstrate theoretical-practical knowledge and technical-operative competencies on the professional profile;
2) dissertation.
The degree grade (from a minimum of 66 points to a maximum of 110, with possible honours) is awarded by a special Commission in an open session.
