Course description
In particular, the 'Professional and Teaching of Human Sciences' curriculum gives students the opportunity to opt for two different training profiles: on the one hand, the 'Professional' profile, which provides a teaching offer aimed at training sociologists capable of using their skills in the world of professions, research and complex organizations, possibly completing their training by continuing their studies in the Territorial Development and Social Innovation curriculum of the Master's degree in Sociology and Social Research (LM-88); on the other hand, the 'Teaching of Human Sciences' profile which, in close connection with the master's degree in Sociology and Social Research (LM-88) present in the educational offer of our University, is designed to guarantee students at least 96 credits in the scientific disciplinary sectors M-FIL, M-STO, M-PED, M-PSI and SPS necessary for access to two competition classes for teaching in secondary schools: class A-18 (philosophy and human sciences) and class A-65 (Theory and technique of communication).
At the same time, the 'Teaching of Human Sciences' profile, in connection with the master's degree in Sociology and Social Research (LM-88), complies with the provisions of Ministerial Decree 616 of 10 August 2017, guaranteeing the acquisition of the 24 CFU in the four areas (pedagogical, psychological, anthropological and didactic) provided for by the PF24 path required for the participation in the 'FIT National Competition', a three-year training course for the Internship Entrance Training, provided for by Law 107/2015, c. 181, letter b and by Legislative Decree 59/2017, art. 5, c.1, letters a and b which allows access to teaching roles in secondary schools.
Obviously, students who opt for the 'Teaching of Human Sciences' profile, once graduated, will have the same professional opportunities as those who, in connection with the master's degree in Sociology and Social Research (LM-88), have instead opted for the 'Professional' profile or for the curriculum in 'Crime and deviance'.

Skills
Professional opportunities envisaged by the degree course are:social research activities,
activities related to social integration and combating phenomena of deviance and marginalization,
operators in public and private administrations, with particular attention to the planning of public policies.
Furthermore, graduates in Sociology can perform the function of social science technician responsible for the collection, conservation and transmission of documentation, responsible for studies, research and statistical services.

The final exam aims to evaluate the student's ability to develop a topic among those covered during the studies, and/or to reflect on the internship experience, in order to ascertain the possession of theoretical-practical skills consistent with the specific objectives of the Course of Study.
The overall evaluation includes the weighted average of the exam grades, the number of honors, any experience abroad, any achievement of the qualification in progress, in addition to the grade obtained in the final exam.
