Course description
The educational path integrates interdisciplinary knowledge in economics, statistics, mathematics, finance and law, allowing graduates to model economic, real and financial phenomena, and to interpret and manage complex and risky scenarios. Particular attention is paid to economic policy decisions, the historical and prospective evolution of economic systems, the regulation of financial and insurance systems and intermediaries and the measurement of financial, pure, technological and environmental risks.
The degree course integrates the skills of the LM-16 class and the LM.56 class, in accordance with the growing demand for specialists with transversal analytical and operational skills.
Graduates acquire in-depth skills in the analysis of financial markets, in the management of risks and financial products and in the construction of decision-making models for financial and insurance intermediation. Thanks to advanced logical-methodological tools and the use of innovative teaching models, graduates are able to face the challenges of economic development and growth dynamics in global and interdisciplinary contexts.
The course represents an opportunity to delve deeper into the topics covered in the curricular path started with the three-year degree course in Economics, Finance and Innovation and also offers a solid foundation for undertaking further post-graduate training courses (master's, doctorate, etc.).
The degree course includes a common path in the first year and two teaching paths in the second year: one of a financial nature, for the student who opts to obtain the master's degree LM-16 in Finance, and the other economic for the student who opts to obtain the master's degree LM-56 in Economic Sciences
The verification of personal preparation will take place through an oral exam that the student will take with a commission appointed for this purpose by the Department composed of 3 professors and which will aim to ascertain the possession of individual knowledge of the participants in microeconomics, macroeconomics, general mathematics, statistics, business economics. Following the test, students deemed suitable by the commission will be able to enroll.

The course allows to train professionals, bank managers, fintech specialists and economists who have high skills in the various strategic areas of finance and economics.Also in line with the current needs of the economic-financial, industrial and insurance system, the graduate in Data and Methods for Economic and Financial Decisions (DECIFRI), has specialist skills in econometrics, in data analysis with innovative and advanced methods that, depending on the chosen class, will be able to apply in:
a) finance and insurance, for the performance of high-level functions in the banking and insurance sector, with reference to the management of banking and environmental risks and internal governance models, the use of actuarial techniques and decision-making under conditions of uncertainty, the performance of financial and insurance markets;
b) economic systems, in order to perform managerial functions in the private and public sector, including at an international level, for the interpretation and forecasting of the main macroeconomic variables.
Skills
The graduate in Data and Methods for Economic and Financial Decisions (DECIFRI), thanks to the knowledge of quantitative tools for data analysis, for the estimation of scenarios and forecasts, risk management, international economics and legal aspects of the regulation of financial markets, can carry out economic-financial analysis activities in the banking, insurance and credit institutions and fintech sectors. Having also skills in the economic-business field, he/she can carry out his/her work activity also in Companies (particularly in roles intended for financial-insurance management) and in Public Bodies, also in an international context, both with managerial roles and with analyst roles in study centersSbocco
The graduate in Data and Methods for Economic and Financial Decisions (DECIFRI) can access professional careers in many entities operating in the economic, financial and insurance fields:- Companies (particularly in roles intended for financial and insurance management),
- Public Bodies,
- Credit companies, Italian and international investment banks, fintech,
- Market regulation institutions and agencies,
- Central banks and monetary bodies,
- Study centers.
Furthermore, graduates in the LM16 class can practice the profession of Actuary after passing the exam state.

- research and re-elaboration of practical cases.
Through the paper, the candidate must demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities required by the specific educational objectives of the course.
The final evaluation also takes into account the student's entire career during the educational path, the times and methods of acquiring university training credits, the evaluations reported in the profit exams and the completion of training periods abroad and the candidate's presentation skills during the graduation session.
