Course description

The Degree Course in Economics and Finance provides students with training in the economic-business, legal and mathematical-statistical disciplines, as well as quantitative analysis tools aimed at understanding the functioning of economic and financial systems, monitoring and anticipating market developments and guiding innovation processes. The course also provides skills related to the exercise of management, administrative and managerial functions in banks, insurance companies, institutions and financial institutions.
In order to be admitted to the degree course, one must be in possession of an upper secondary school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable.
In addition, an appropriate study method, deductive and logical-verbal skills, and basic knowledge of English and mathematics are required. These skills and knowledge will be verified by means of appropriate entrance tests.
The test will focus on knowledge of logic, English, general culture and mathematics based on the secondary school syllabus.
Entry into the banking, financial and business world.
Free profession of chartered accountant, subject to completion of the training credits required by current regulations and subject to passing the qualifying examination.
The final examination, for the award of the degree, consists of a written paper that addresses the topic defined at the time the thesis was assigned by the thesis advisor through:
- analysis of relevant literature;
- research and review of practical cases.
