The three-year degree course in Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures aims to train professionals capable of working independently in contexts where linguistic and cultural competences are required.
Graduates will have acquired theoretical and technical skills in the field of the language, literature and culture of two European linguistic and cultural fields (to be chosen from English, French, Spanish and German). They will also have basic skills in a further linguistic and cultural field (choice of Portuguese, Albanian, Turkish).
Furthermore, they will have a broad knowledge of essential literary, critical and philological, comparative and semiotic topics.

For admission to the Course, an upper secondary school diploma or equivalent qualification or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable according to the requirements of the regulations in force is required. The Course will activate procedures for the prior, selective verification of the minimum requirements, through the administration of questionnaires or entrance tests.

Graduates in Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures perform the role of cultural mediator, at written and oral level, in public and private institutions, companies, national and international organisations, non-profit associations and in any other context where linguistic assistance is required for tourism, business and cultural purposes.

At the end of the course, the student submits a paper that will be assessed by a committee.
The evaluation of the paper does not require the presence of the student.
After the evaluation, the committee awards a mark ranging from 0 to 4, plus one point for a current student and two points for a student who has completed part of the course abroad

The study course offers numerous possibilities to do part of the course in foreign universities, in particular on the basis of Erasmus agreements.
