All curricula include Italian literature & linguistics, semiotics, general linguistics, geography, history & IT, fundamental for the all-round language professional.
Standard curriculum (in Italian): English plus (French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Turkish or Albanian) and (German, Portuguese, Arabic or Japanese). Focus: skills in English & in English-Italian (written/oral).
Albanian-speaking curriculum (in Italian): Double Degree with the University of Vlorë (Albania). English & Albanian only or plus (German, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese). Focus: skills in Albanian-English (written/oral).
UniSalento-Vlorë Double degree (in English): English & Albanian only or plus German or Arabic. Focus: skills in Albanian-English (written/oral). 1st & 3rd year at UniSalento, 2nd at Vlorë.

A secondary school diploma or equivalent, obtained in Italy or elsewhere but officially recognised as such. Bearing in mind the specific objectives of the Course, a good general background in the humanities at secondary school level is necessary, such as history and geography. In addition, good English and any other languages that form language pairs in specific translation courses is required.

The course aims to train professionals capable of working autonomously in contexts where linguistic assistance is required for mediation/communication, for a wide variety of tourist, commercial and technical purposes.

A thesis relating to one of the subjects studied. This may be in the form of a state-of-the-art overview, or an experimental or critical work. It may also be based on an internship if this has a strong bearing on the course of study undertaken. In this case, the thesis will consist of an analytical commentary on the practical experience integrated to the course of study.
