Course description
(1) three-year degree (first level degree pursuant to art. 3 c. 1 of Ministerial Decree 509/99 or degree pursuant to art. 3 c.1 of Ministerial Decree 270/04);
(2) acquisition of no less than 88 CFU in the psychological scientific-disciplinary sectors (M-PSI/01, M-PSI/02, M-PSI/03, MPSI/04,M-PSI/05, M-PSI/06, M-PSI/07, M-PSI/08), of which no less than 8 CFU for each sector.
(3) acquisition of 10 CFU of professional training activities, in compliance with the Interministerial Decree 654/2022, art. 2, paragraph 6. In the total or partial absence of recognition of the CFUs referred to in paragraph 6, three-year graduates acquire the missing internship CFUs in addition to the 120 CFUs of the master's degree, as provided for in paragraph 7, art. 2. of Interministerial Decree 654/2022
The curricular requirements referred to in point (2) can also be acquired by enrolling in individual courses taught in a three-year degree course and passing the relevant exam.
The curricular requirements referred to in point (3) can derive from the recognition of a) Internship CFUs provided for in the study plan of the three-year degree, if belonging to the degree class L-24 (Psychological sciences and techniques); b) CFU associated with practical experiences, laboratories, simulations, role playing, drafting of projects, carried out individually or in small groups, provided for in the three-year degree study plan, provided that they are aimed at learning methods, tools and procedures relating to the applied contexts of psychology and aimed at developing the knowledge and skills necessary to operate in the contexts in which the psychology profession intervenes; c) extracurricular activities of a practical nature (e.g. workshops, laboratories), adequately documented in content, duration and frequency, provided that they are aimed at learning methods, tools and procedures relating to the applied contexts of psychology and aimed at developing the knowledge and skills necessary to operate in the contexts in which the psychology profession intervenes.
For the purposes of enrollment, aspiring students (for whom possession of the curricular requirements referred to in the previous points has been previously ascertained) must possess, as personal preparation, adequate knowledge in the various sectors of the psychological disciplines and in the sectors relating to the human and natural sciences related to the psychological field. They must also have acquired adequate knowledge of scientific investigation methods and procedures, as well as skills in the field of communication and information management, as well as adequate skills in the use, in written and oral form, of the English language. Finally, they must have developed basic technical-procedural skills through participation in professional training activities.

The course prepares for the profession of Psychologist.Functions
Due to the knowledge and skills in his possession, the graduate in Psychology of Intervention in Relational and Social Contexts is able to carry out the profession of Psychologist with functions of planning, management, implementation and responsibility for the activities envisaged by the art. 1 of Law 56/89.The object of his professional activity is mainly the use of knowledge and intervention tools for the analysis of the problems of individuals-in-contexts, the planning and evaluation of psychosocial interventions aimed at individuals, families, groups, associations, organizations and local communities.
Skills
Students of the Master's Degree in Psychology, having obtained the assessment of suitability of the Practical Evaluation Internship (TPV) activities, can access the practical evaluation test (hereinafter, PPV), which precedes the discussion of the degree thesis, and become qualified to practice the profession.The skills acquired by the graduate in Psychology of Intervention in Relational and Social Contexts translate into the ability to use assessment and intervention tools in social and community settings (schools, workplaces, institutions, formal and informal social networks, families, individuals) and in services aimed at person, groups, organizations and communities, for the promotion of individual and social well-being.
Sbocco
The graduate in Psychology of Intervention in Relational and Social Contexts is a specialist in Psychological Sciences. He/she can work as a freelancer or with an employee relationship, exercising roles of high responsibility in organizations and in services aimed at the person, groups, communities (school, health, public administration, companies). In particular, he/she can design and manage interventions aimed at promoting health, preventing psychosocial distress and improving the quality of life of individuals, groups, organizations and communities, as well as monitoring and evaluating the quality, effectiveness and appropriateness of interventions. He/she can therefore work with different roles and in different areas; for example: in the field of counseling, diagnosis and psychological support in services aimed at the person and families; in the field of training and consultancy in schools for the prevention and fight against youth distress, for the assessment of psychological problems in developmental age, of a cognitive, affective and relational nature, for the promotion of inclusion processes; in the field of promoting psychological well-being and quality of life of subjects with social fragility (e.g. elderly people, people with significant mental distress, subjects affected by chronic diseases) in care and assistance contexts and in formal and informal social networks, also supporting teamwork in multidisciplinary groups; in the field of planning and management of interventions aimed at the psychosocial integration of immigrant citizens or other fragile social groups and in the field of planning and management of participatory processes, at the service of bodies, institutions, associations; in the field of assessment and intervention on work-related stress and the management and development of human resources in the workplace. He/she can also, in the different contexts of intervention, conduct research activities to deepen the analysis of problems and design targeted intervention responses.The graduate in Psychology of Intervention in Relational and Social Contexts can also coordinate and supervise doctors in psychological techniques. He/she can also access second level specialist Masters and Doctoral Courses. The graduate who is registered with the Order of Psychologists, section A, has access to the Schools of Specialization in Psychotherapy recognized by the MIUR, as well as all other graduates of masters and of the old system in Psychology, pursuant to Law 56/89, and for the professional opportunities of Law 31 of 28 February 2008. He/she also has access to the University Schools of Specialization qualifying for psychotherapy ex DM 24 July 2006.
Those who obtain a judgment of suitability of the practical-evaluative internship within the study courses are admitted to the final exam. The degree thesis may be of a compilation and/or research nature. The thesis is an original work that can take the following forms:
- presentation of an empirical research or an intervention research;
- report of an intervention case;
- critical review of an area of scientific literature.
The discussion of the degree thesis during the final exam has the objective of developing (but also verifying) the autonomy of judgment developed by the student at the end of the course of study and his/her learning ability.
