Course description

The Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Science and Techniques enables students to acquire basic knowledge of the various fields of the psychological disciplines and of the methods and procedures of scientific investigation, as well as the basic elements of some fundamental technical skills (conducting interviews, psychometric techniques, data collection and processing techniques) and operational skills (e.g. activity planning, communication, reporting, documentation management), in order to work professionally — under the responsibility of psychologists holding a Master's degree or a higher qualification — in services for individuals, groups, organisations and communities.
The programme is designed to integrate the acquisition of theoretical and methodological knowledge with training activities aimed at developing technical-operational skills, through applied and reflective experiential activities consistent with the main areas of psychological intervention.
The programme gives access to the Master's degree programmes in class LM-51 (Psychology).
Admission requires a five-year upper secondary school diploma or another equivalent qualification obtained abroad.
Applicants must demonstrate a good level of general culture, basic skills in syntax, spelling and text comprehension, transversal skills (logical and scientific reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking) and a basic knowledge of English.
These skills and knowledge are assessed through an entrance test. Any gaps in English identified by the test lead to the assignment of Additional Learning Requirements (OFA).
