Course description

The Master's Degree in Archaeology aims to provide, through a broad and diverse range of educational activities, advanced theoretical, methodological and practical training in the knowledge of archaeological heritage and, in particular, in the fields of prehistory and protohistory; classical archaeology, history and antiquities; medieval archaeology, history and antiquities; ancient topography; and the methodology and technologies applied to archaeology.
Admission to class LM-2 is open to students holding a degree in Cultural Heritage (L-1) or Humanities (L-10), or an equivalent qualification, including one obtained abroad under Ministerial Decree 270/04. Graduates from other degree classes, or holders of a four-year degree, may also be admitted, provided they have acquired at least 54 CFU in the following disciplinary fields:

Basic knowledge of the legislation on archaeological heritage is also required, together with sufficient ability to use the main IT tools for managing and electronically communicating archaeological data, and written and oral command of English.
