Course description

The single-cycle Master's Degree in Law offers a constantly updated curriculum to respond to the challenges of the Green Economy, digital transition and internationalisation, in line with the PNRR and the PON Governance programme. It combines solid theoretical preparation with an applied approach, to train lawyers able to manage the complexity of contemporary markets and disputes.
After a common first two years devoted to the historical and methodological foundations in the private-law, public-law, criminal-law and economic fields, from the third year students choose between three tracks:
- the Classical track deepens the traditional fields with openings towards ADR, Antitrust and Artificial Intelligence;
- the Environment, Territory and Innovation path, unique in Italy, focuses on ecological sustainability and digital markets;
- the European and International track emphasises legal comparison and supranational sources, with a wide range of courses taught in English.
The recent reform strengthens vocational training by bringing procedural-law subjects forward to the fourth year and by introducing compulsory workshops (legal writing, databases, mock trials, accounting) in the final two years. The path is completed by curricular traineeships and the possibility of an early semester of legal practice under agreement, for skills directly usable in the legal professions, in business, in public administration and in the Office for the Judicial Process.
Admission to the single-cycle Master's degree requires an upper secondary school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable.
A good general culture is also required, particularly in the historical-institutional field and the history of thought, together with a marked aptitude for abstract and sequential reasoning and a well-developed ability to work on complex written texts, as well as some knowledge of foreign languages.
Applicants must take an assessment test, the result of which is not binding for enrolment, aimed at giving general indications of the student's aptitude for the chosen studies and of the state of the required basic knowledge. Failure to pass the test entails the assignment of an educational debt, set annually and made up by attending a dedicated course, i.e. a small Additional Learning Requirement.
