Invest Your Talent in Italy

International students interested in attending a post-graduate/master degree course (Laurea Magistrale) at the University of Salento can award a scholarship within the framework of the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” (IYT) Program. The program, established by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aims at fostering cooperation among Italian Universities and Italian companies in order to promote their internationalisation. It includes three phases: the first two are lecture-based theoretical courses, while the third phase includes practical on-the-job training in an Italian company that is partner of the initiative. Furthermore, the attendance of a course of Italian language and culture, aimed to provide international students with an opportunity for social and intellectual integration during their stay in Italy, is mandatory. Notice that the grant holder cannot participate in the Erasmus exchange program or other international mobility programs.

The degree courses (Lauree Magistrali – two-year master courses) which have been eligible for the IYT at the University of Salento for the academic year 2020-2021 are as follows:

All the lectures and teaching material of the above degree courses are in English.

Scholarships may be awarded to students who are permanently resident in the following countries: Azerbaijan; Brazil; Colombia; Egypt; Ethiopia; India; Indonesia; Iran; Ghana; Kazakhstan; Mexico; People’s Republic of China; Tunisia; Turkey; Vietnam. Students must hold a Bachelor Degree in order to be enrolled in one of the above Lauree Magistrali at the University of Salento. They have to submit through the IYT platform (available at https://investyourtalentapplication.esteri.it) their pre-application for ONE of the postgraduate courses included in the Program (a second choice is possible for those courses accepting a limited number of students).

Admitted students are entitled to receive the IYT scholarship, full tuition university fee exemption and student support services. The latest call for applications was launched last December 2019 and refers to the academic year 2020-2021 (deadline February 2020). Next opening (for the 2021/2022 edition) is expected in November 2021.
