Course description
The Degree in Management of Tourism Organisations (until 2021/2022 'Tourism Manager'), established in 2017, has been updated by revising course titles and, from 2022, by introducing Workshops with companies and the new name, to better reflect the skills provided.
The programme responds to the emerging training needs of the tourism sector, in relation to the dynamics of development and competitiveness, with particular reference to the Apulian context, a significant testing ground given the positive growth of local tourism. It trains an expert in the management of tourism organisations, able to manage destinations and experiences and to maximise the impact of tourism spending on local supply chains. In particular, it prepares: experts in the organisation and management of the tourism supply chain; organisers/agents of incoming tourism services and events; cultural tourism facilitators and experiential tourism experts.
The three-year programme is organised into lectures, seminars, case studies and group work in the economic-business, legal, statistical, anthropological, psycho-social, territorial, historical-artistic and linguistic areas, with activities also in English. Traineeships, mobility, conferences and workshops with businesses and professionals complete the training.
The programme is an ideal basis for the Master's Degree LM-77 'Management of Territories, Public Bodies and Tourism' (track 'Tourism Management and Marketing'), launched in 2025-2026.
