Course description

The Bachelor's degree in Motor and Sport Sciences is designed for individuals who wish to enhance their expertise in the field of physical activity and sports. The program offers a educational curriculum aimed at preparing professional practitioners capable of planning, conducting, and evaluating motor activities in various formal and non-formal settings. Special emphasis is placed on disciplines that promote both physical and mental well-being while.
Students will acquire knowledge in anatomy, biochemistry, biomechanics, and physiology to understand the biological foundations of movement. The training will encompass learning teaching methodologies specific to motor and sports activities and techniques for measuring and evaluating the effects of exercise.
To be admitted to the degree course in "Motor and Sport Sciences," students must possess a high school diploma.
Those enrolled are required to demonstrate the possession of basic skills and abilities related to the correct use of the Italian language, knowledge of scientific disciplines and motor-sports. These skills and knowledge will be verified through a compulsory entrance test.
The degree course prepares to carry out professional activities as a professional in motor and sports activities, in public and private facilities, with particular reference to the design, conduct, and evaluation of individual and group motor activities of a compensatory, adaptive, educational, recreational, and sports nature aimed at maintaining psycho-physical well-being.
The final examination for the degree in Motor and Sport Sciences consists of the presentation of a written paper, concerning a scientific topic within the scope of the subjects included in the training course. The paper may also consist of a report concerning the technical-practical activities prepared by the student under the guidance of a tutor at gyms and teaching laboratories.

To ensure the acquisition of an adequate set of methodological and organizational skills to accompany the theoretical knowledge, the student will carry out a period of internship activities at facilities that are adequate in quality of the operators and consistent with the training objectives. The training activities will be supplemented by activities in the field of individual and team technical-sport disciplines, didactic-educational and the field of preventive-adapted motor activities.
