Language Requirements
All Unique cycle master's programmes are delivered entirely in Italian, giving you the chance to fully embrace the language and local culture. To enrol, you will need to:
- Provide an Italian language certificate at B2 level or higher (CEFR)
OR - Take the online Italian Language Proficiency Test offered by the University of Salento

Academic Requirements
To apply, you must hold a high school diploma equivalent to at least 12 years of schooling.
The official rules for the entry, stay and enrolment of international students, as well as the recognition of qualifications, are defined by the Circular of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
To complete the enrollment process, international students must submit the following documentation to the Admissions Office.
1. Final secondary school qualification
A secondary school diploma obtained after at least twelve years of schooling, valid for university admission in the issuing country and without substantial differences compared to the Italian system.
2. National university entrance exam certificate (if required)
Where applicable and mandatory in the country of origin (e.g., Gaokao, A‑levels, etc.).
3. Sworn or officially legalized translation (into Italian or English)
A translation of the documents listed above is required unless they are issued in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese or German.
4. Documents Demonstrating Correspondence to the Italian System
Submit one of the following:
- CIMEA Statement of Comparability, or
- ARDI Statement of Correspondence (if available for the country where you obtained your qualification), or
- Declaration of Value, issued by the competent Italian Embassy/Consulate.
5. Documents Demonstrating the Authenticity of the Qualification
Submit one of the following:
- CIMEA Verification Statement, or
- Apostille (Hague Convention), or
- Legalisation, or
- Official online verification systems.
6. Italian Language Requirement (Level B2 CEFR)
Submit an official Italian language certificate (B2 CEFR) issued by nationally or internationally recognized certification bodies (also available through Italian Cultural Institutes abroad). Certificates may be obtained in the country of origin through authorized centres.

Pass the Italian Language Proficiency Test organized online by the University.

FOR Non‑EU Students Residing Abroad
(requiring a study visa — mandatory procedure via Universitaly)

International students pay a flat‑tax tuition fee, with no ISEE Parificato required.
- Tuition fees are:
€1,000 per academic year, paid in 3 instalments
(approx. €333.33 each)
First instalment only includes additional mandatory charges:
- Regional Tax for the Right to Education: approx. €190
- Virtual stamp duty: €16
Students holding international protection status are fully exempt from tuition fees, according to current regulations.
PAYMENT DEADLINES

First instalment
- Restricted‑access programmes:
by the deadline stated in the Call for Admission (Bando di ammissione) published by each Department
- Open‑access programmes:
by the first week of November for citizen of the European Union or non‑EU citizen legally residing in Italy (also the final deadline for enrolment)
by 31 of January for non‑EU citizen requiring a visa to enter Italy (also the final deadline for enrolment)
Second instalment: by the end of March
Third instalment: by the end of June
