Language Requirements
All Unique cycle master's programmes are delivered entirely in Italian, giving you the chance to fully embrace the language and local culture. To enrol, you will need to:

• Provide an Italian language certificate at B2 level or higher (CEFR)
  OR
• Take the online Italian Language Proficiency Test offered by the University of Salento
  (link to dates, times, and participation guidelines)

Academic Requirements
To apply, you must hold a high school diploma equivalent to at least 12 years of schooling.

The official rules for the entry, stay and enrolment of international students, as well as the recognition of qualifications, are defined by the Circular of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

To complete the enrollment process, international students must submit the following documentation to the Admissions Office.

1. Final secondary school qualification
A secondary school diploma obtained after at least twelve years of schooling, valid for university admission in the issuing country and without substantial differences compared to the Italian system.

2. National university entrance exam certificate (if required)
Where applicable and mandatory in the country of origin (e.g., Gaokao, A‑levels, etc.).

3. Sworn or officially legalized translation (into Italian or English)
A translation of the documents listed above is required unless they are issued in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese or German.

4. Documents Demonstrating Correspondence to the Italian System

Submit one of the following:

• CIMEA Statement of Comparability, or
• ARDI Statement of Correspondence (if available for the country where you obtained your qualification), or
• Declaration of Value, issued by the competent Italian Embassy/Consulate.

5. Documents Demonstrating the Authenticity of the Qualification

Submit one of the following:

• CIMEA Verification Statement, or
• Apostille (Hague Convention), or
• Legalisation, or
• Official online verification systems.

6. Italian Language Requirement (Level B2 CEFR)

Submit an official Italian language certificate (B2 CEFR) issued by nationally or internationally recognized certification bodies (also available through Italian Cultural Institutes abroad). Certificates may be obtained in the country of origin through authorized centres.

Pass the Italian Language Proficiency Test organized online by the University.

 FOR Non‑EU Students Residing Abroad
 (requiring a study visa — mandatory procedure via Universitaly)

– If admitted, your Universitaly application will be validated automatically.

• Wait for your visa to be issued and and prepare for your move to Italy.
• Complete your online enrollment (available only after validation + visa approval) - (instructions)

• Pre‑enrolment on Universitaly.it (required to start the visa application procedure): by 20 July

• After your application on the Universitaly portal has been validated, you must apply for a visa by 30 November.

• Open‑access programmes: Registration and enrolment by 31 January

• Limited‑access programmes: Registration and enrolment: (usually August – September)
