Course description
The Biomedical Engineer is a versatile and interdisciplinary professional. Starting from the methodological and operational aspects of the basic sciences, engineering and biology, the programme trains graduates able to design and assess the reliability, quality and safety of devices for biomedical and pharmacological use and for supporting people with disabilities, including with reference to cutting-edge fields such as tissue engineering and the development of prostheses and artificial organs. Further skills concern computer systems for biomedical applications.
The programme is organised as a single path of educational activities consistent with the specific objectives of the degree.
Students who, on the basis of the test results, do not achieve adequate preparation are assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA) in the subjects where gaps emerged, to be cleared during the first year.
