Course description

The Bachelor's Degree in DAMS - Disciplines of the Arts, Music and Performing Arts - provides a solid basic cultural education, with particular reference to the contemporary age, and historical and critical-analytical skills in the fields of music, cinema and the performing arts. Based on the interconnectedness of the different forms of artistic expression, this education is complemented by contributions from the literary, historical, philosophical, anthropological, sociological and legal fields, in order to understand and contextualise the knowledge acquired.
The programme is enriched by workshops, seminars and masterclasses with figures from the world of art and entertainment, and by traineeships at institutions, public bodies or private companies consistent with the subjects taught. Periods of study abroad are possible through Erasmus exchanges.
Acquiring broad-ranging skills in the performing arts, with attention also to practical aspects, allows more informed choices, whether towards a Master's degree or entry into the labour market. Graduates will be professionals in the field of live and recorded music and performance, able to work in the cultural and media industry through the conception, design, production and promotion of events.
Basic knowledge is required, acquired through an upper secondary school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad and recognised as suitable under current legislation.
In particular, applicants must have:
- a good general culture;
- logical and reasoning skills;
- the ability to read, understand and interpret texts and documents;
- a good ability to express themselves in Italian.

The basic knowledge is assessed in advance through non-selective tests. This assessment is compulsory. Any gaps must be cleared during the first year, in accordance with the procedures set out in the programme's Regulations.
