Course description

In the first two years, the programme aims to instil solid foundations in mathematics, physics and chemistry, enabling students to develop an aptitude for solving engineering problems.
The first two years also include subjects with strong engineering content, completing the basic educational framework.
The third year features engineering subjects typical of civil engineering, with strong design content. These courses are designed to provide the basic design tools that will allow the young engineer to handle the fundamental design problems of civil engineering with confidence, from an analytical standpoint.
Admission to the programme requires an upper secondary school qualification or an equivalent one, together with the passing of a test.
Students are expected to have the following:
a) an aptitude for and adequate preparation in technical-scientific subjects;
b) a methodological approach suited to the chosen programme;
c) initial knowledge of English;
d) basic computer skills.

For the assessment of initial preparation, in particular for points a) and b), students must pass a test consisting of multiple-choice questions mainly on Mathematics and Science. Students who do not pass the assessment are assigned Additional Learning Requirements (OFA), to be fulfilled during the first year, in accordance with the programme's Teaching Regulations.
