The Master's Degree Course in Science for International Cooperation aims to train graduates with advanced skills in economics, law, political science and sociology, in order to understand the complex dynamics of economic, human and social development, as well as peace-building and peace-support processes, especially in the African geopolitical context.
The didactic structure of the course is designed to ensure that students have common knowledge in the economic, historical-economic, geographical-economic, international-legal and comparative fields, as well as language skills.
The course has been designed to create a koine between different disciplines on issues related to development and peace, with a view to enhancing the role of the third sector, of development cooperation and peace building and of international organisations (first and foremost the UN).
In this perspective, the collaboration with the UN logistic bases in Brindisi is strategic. The possibility of making use of the professionalism of the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) and the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD), but also of the World Food Program (WFP) for the definition of ancillary courses to the curricular one, enriches the training perspective, allowing an opening from the 'internal' point of view, that of international organisations.

Admission to the Course is open to graduates in possession, on pain of ineligibility, of the requirement of at least a three-year first-level degree pursuant to Art. 3 c. 1 of DM 509/99 acquired in Classes 15 (Political Science and International Relations) and 35 (Social Sciences for Cooperation, Development and Peace) or a three-year degree pursuant to Art. 3 c. 1 of DM 270/04 acquired in Classes L-18 (Economics and Business Management Sciences), L-33 (Economics, L-36 (Political Science and International Relations), L-37 (Social Sciences for Cooperation, Development and Peace). 1 of DM 270/04 obtained in classes L-18 (Economics and Business Management Sciences), L-33 (Economics), L-36 (Political Science and International Relations), L-37 (Social Sciences for Cooperation, Development and Peace) and L-39 (Social Service) or in classes L-16 (Administration and Organisation Sciences); L-40 (Sociology); L-14 (Sciences of Legal Services); LM-87 (Social Service and Social Policy), LMG/01 (Law) or a four-year degree (VO) in Law.
In order to attend the Master's Degree Course successfully, it is necessary to have acquired in addition:
1. knowledge of the English language at level B2
2. adequate individual preparation
Admission to the Master's degree course, for students who meet the curricular requirements, is subject to passing an assessment of the adequacy of their personal preparation, in accordance with the procedures indicated in the course regulations.

The skills required for admission are assessed by means of an interview conducted by specially appointed lecturers.
The interview will focus mainly on the student's three-year course of study, through an in-depth examination of the study programmes followed by the student, with particular attention to the knowledge required to start the Master's degree course, and starting, in any case, from the topic examined in the test at the end of the three-year course of study. To be more specific, topics relating to the History of International Relations, Contemporary History or the History of Economics will be addressed.

Experts, researchers and officials in the field of project management, definition and testing, in the field of international cooperation and integration policies in public and private bodies and organisations (Public Administration, international organisations, local institutions and the business world).
Officials in national and supranational bodies involved in international cooperation and in the management of migration flows and asylum seekers.
Diplomatic career (Secretary of legation - after passing an open competition).

The final examination for the Master's degree consists of the writing and public discussion of a written dissertation prepared in an original manner by the student under the guidance of a supervisor and on a subject consistent with the objectives of the course of study.
The dissertation must demonstrate mastery of the arguments, critical capacity, the ability to work independently and a good level of communication skills.
