The course of study offers training for professionals destined to be specialists in the design and implementation of programmes of motor and sports activities aimed at: the prevention of diseases and improvement of the quality of life; post-rehabilitation motor recovery aimed at maintaining physical efficiency; interventions to promote active lifestyles aimed at achieving and maintaining psycho-physical wellbeing for individuals of different ages with gender specificity and in different physical conditions; prevention and functional recovery from postural defects.
These competences will be achieved through the study of motor and sports, biomedical, psycho-pedagogical and sociological disciplines.
The Master's Degree Course in Science and Techniques of Preventive and Adapted Motor Activities is open to students on a first-come, first-served basis.
For admission to the degree course it is necessary to have obtained a degree in one of the following classes or hold another qualification obtained abroad, recognised as suitable: ex D.M. 270: L-22, ex D.M. 509/99: Class 33, ISEF Diploma. Any curricular gaps must be filled before enrolling in the Master's degree. Admission to the course is subject, in addition to meeting the curricular requirements provided, to passing an interview that will assess the basic preparation in the field of motor sciences.
Admission to the Degree Course in 'Preventive and Adapted Physical Activity Sciences and Techniques' is subject to a programmed number of students.
For the academic year 2021/2022, a maximum of 65 students are enrolled.
The Master's degree course in 'Scienze e Tecniche delle Attività Motorie Preventive e Adaptate' is subject to local enrolment, admission is subject to passing an admission test.
Admission to the degree course is subject to the evaluation of the qualifications submitted by the participants and to passing an oral interview, aimed at assessing the candidate's knowledge in the fields of motor and sports activities, psycho-pedagogy, biomedicine and English language. At the end of the tests, a ranking list is drawn up according to the marks obtained in order to admit students to the first year of the course, within the programmed number. Undergraduates who discuss their final thesis within the autumn session may also take part in the admission competition.
Graduates find employment in public and private facilities (gyms, fitness centres, functional motor activity recovery centres, including those dedicated to the disabled, sports clubs) both in Italy and abroad. Facilities in which individual or collective motor activity programmes or courses are held, aimed at children, adults, the elderly and the disabled.
Graduates who have sufficient credits in appropriate groups of sectors, as provided for by the regulations in force, will be able to take part in competitive procedures for teaching physical education in accordance with the regulations in force.
