The Course of Study in Political Science and International Relations presents a single curricular path that aims to deepen the study and knowledge of essential subjects for the training of every three-year graduate in Political Science and International Relations. Therefore, the C.d.L., almost in a normal way, is characterized by the strong and rational multidisciplinarity that is realized with the activation of SSD in historical (M-STO/04), historical-political, (SPS/03, SPS/06), sociological (SPS/07), philosophical (SPS/01), legal (IUS/13, IUS/20, IUS/10, IUS/21), economic-social (SECS-P/01, SECS-S/01, MGGR/02). The course also includes an English language course (as a compulsory exam) and a second compulsory language to be chosen between Spanish and French. The course is completed by a compulsory internship or stage to be carried out in public and private affiliated institutions.
The admission procedure, in accordance with the provisions of the notice of access, will consist of an online multiple-choice test (30 questions) with 4 answers of which n.1 correct to be carried out after the registration by electronic means, using the same login and password of the student and that the same uses to access the portal students.unisalento.it
The additional training obligations are related to questions of general culture.
The additional educational obligations must necessarily be recovered within the first year of the course, otherwise there will be a temporary blocking of the possibility to book the exams of the second year.

In any case, the additional training obligation has no influence on the number of CFU that the student must achieve in the study path for which he/she is requesting enrollment.
Adequate knowledge in the historical-political field. The knowledge for access will be evaluated through a test that will determine any training obligations to be recovered within the academic year.

Functions
The C.d.L. provides a preparation that allows the graduate to assume functions of responsibility in public and private administrations. For this purpose, the generalist training in the historical, historical-political, sociological, philosophical fields is completed with a specific training in the economic-social field (with the teaching of Political Economy which is activated with the highest number of CFU provided, 12), in the legal field (with more than 20 CFU activated that allow the student to have a preparation both in the international field - International Law, Human Rights, Comparative Public Law - and in the national field - Administrative Law, Information Technology in Public Administration).

Outlet
Graduates, thanks to the combination of multidisciplinary training provided by the common educational pathway (basic and characterizing activities) and specific training provided by related and supplementary activities, will be able to undertake professional activities in many work areas. Among these are: official or managerial activities in public and private administrations; professional activities for governmental and non-governmental, national and international organizations involved in the fields of cooperation, human rights, public policies; economic consulting activities for private companies; planning in the field of economic, cultural and democratic development.
The final exam will consist in the evaluation by a specific commission of a paper that will require a commitment from the student proportionate to the number of CFU assigned to the test. For the final evaluation, the critical capacity, the propensity to research, the autonomy of judgment, the argumentative capacity will be evaluated.
