Course overview/Course outline

The course allows you to train the professional figure of the pedagogist and is structured on an advanced path in the fields of socio-pedagogical, psychological, anthropological and historical-legal sciences and provides skills in planning, programming, management and evaluation of processes and educational-training intervention for the fields of prevention, rehabilitation, reduction of hardship and social reintegration. In particular, he develops the skills accompanying the educational planning aimed at individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations.

Access to the programme

Access to the course is open to both Italian students and students from EU countries. 10 places are also reserved for students from other non-EU countries. There are no additional constraints.

Admission Requirements

For all students, access is conditional on possession of the curricular requirements, defined in the Didactic Regulations of the Degree Course. Regardless of the curricular requirements, a verification of the personal preparation is foreseen for all students, with the methods defined in the regulation. There are no training debts, or additional training obligations, at the time of access. Curricular requirements: Four-year degree V.O ,: Educational sciences or Pedagogy Degree in class L-18, LS-87S provided by the D.M. 509/99 Degrees in class L-19, LM-85 provided by D.M. 270/04 - a good knowledge of a European Union language, besides the Italian language. All students, in possession of the curricular requirements, will undergo an initial verification through a structured interview that can be held in the presence or remotely by means of a dedicated platform on the general topics of pedagogy, psychology and sociology. All applicants for enrollment are required to take the assessment test of incoming skills. Failure to pass the test to verify the adequacy of the individual preparation does not allow enrollment despite having the curricular requirements. There are no training debts, or additional training obligations, at the time of access.

Career opportunities

The field of use of the figure, of the pedagogist, both as an employee and as a freelancer at different levels (local, regional, national, European and international), areas (referred to in art. 1) and corresponding intervention systems, is divided into public, private and Third Sector structures, residential or semi-residential, designed to develop community life activities, both occasional and permanent, with preventive and social inclusion purposes, such as health, social, community, listening, play centers , sports and leisure for families, neighborhood, cultural, elderly, youth and any other possible educational work space required by the market. The figure can also find employment in associations and judicial structures of the penitentiary system; Environmental associations, centers and structures of the system of environmental and cultural heritage; Public Bodies, Employment and Local Development Agencies; Territorial centers for lifelong learning; Consultors; Training bodies, companies (small, medium and large, private or public-private) and consultancy companies, training agencies; Cultural, social and leisure, environmental and multicultural associations; employers' associations, professional associations and associations, party organizations and any other possible educational and training work space required by the market.

Final exams and graduation

The Master's degree is achieved following the passing of a final test consisting in the presentation and discussion of an original paper produced by the student under the guidance of a supervisor and subjected to the verification of a co-supervisor. The final paper must demonstrate the candidate's possession of the theoretical and methodological knowledge acquired in the university study path, must demonstrate good argumentative and research aptitude. It will deal with issues of the scientific debate on the domain of knowledge attributable to the sciences of education, will contain references to the state of the art of the topic dealt with, with precise bibliographical references and adequate documentation, where necessary.
