DIPARTIMENTO DI SCIENZE GIURIDICHE – CAMPUS UNIVERSITARIO ECOTEKNE
The enormous increase in the flows of migrants pouring onto the Italian and European borders has determined the crisis of the model through which the migratory phenomenon has been regulated. At the same time, it has revealed the urgency of new professional figures capable of grasping and consequently managing its complexity. The CdSM in Euro-Mediterranean Governance of Migration Policies stems from this awareness. Proposed by the Department of Law Sciences, the course opens up to the didactic and scientific contribution of the other departments to offer an innovative, multi and interdisciplinary training, capable of coagulating around the theme of Euro-Mediterranean governance of migration policies teachings from a legal perspective, economic, socio-political and historical. The course is divided into two years.

The outlets are different and involve the local, national and supranational plan. The bachelor will in fact be able to access public institutions in the roles of civil servants and administrative managers in the field ministerial, regional, local or supra-state institutions with high responsibility functions (such as European Union, International Organization for Migration, Council of Europe), also to non-governmental organizations active in the field humanitarian and to cooperatives working in the hospitality and integration sectors.
The final exam takes place through public discussion of the thesis work carried out by the candidate, in the presence of the supervisor, who assigned him the work itself and followed it from its drafting. The procedures, the terms and the assignment of scores are governed by a specific Regulation for degree theses. The final evaluation will be based on an overall judgment that will take into account the following points: critical capacity; the ability to understand the complexity of the migratory phenomenon and to propose solutions in the European scenario; the propensity for research; the autonomy of judgment; the ability argumentative and expository; the originality of the thesis work.
