Other useful information

Course description

The aim of the Industrial Engineering course is to provide students with a solid basic preparation in science and engineering, in order to acquire both mental flexibility and methods of study and work necessary to:
- conduct the activity of a top-level engineer in various sectors in which her/his performance may be required;
- deal with the knowledge provided by subsequent master degrees. Therefore, the industrial engineer will have to be prepared to systemic in mathematics, physics, chemistry, general mathematical approach to physical phenomena, graphic representation through the design of physical systems, basic technical-scientific subjects related to the static, structure and resistance of materials and movement, transformations and energy transmission.
Admission to the course requires a high school diploma or other equivalent and approved qualification obtained abroad.
Graduates in industrial engineering should be able to solve engineering problems appropriate to their level of knowledge and understanding. In particular, they shall be able to set and analyse even complex problems both in terms of basic scientific problems and fundamental application aspects. The skills and knowledge acquired will enable graduates to work in both industrial and service companies.
The final exam consists of a project thesis developed under the supervision of professor involved in the master degree course.
